I’m going to Courmayeur and I want to watch Digital TV there over my laptop.

it’s WDTV media player, supposedly you can connect portable drive to it with your video files (MKVs AVIS etc.,,) But I’m wondering if I connect it to my TV with the component cables will I be able to play the MKV files and AVI files on the portable drive whose resolution exceed 720×480 aka 1280×720 or 960×720 or such.

I have a SD CRT 4:3 screen.

Since the digital transfer, I have lost all channels except 20 and sometimes 66 (sometimes 66 is scrambled) How can I get PBS and the other free air channels?
