Think about Beta, HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, Vinyl records, VHS, or any other media format. Since when does the government get to force Americans and industry to change to a new format instead of letting the markets decide what is right and at what time? Personally, I’m really pissed and I’m not making the switch. If I lose TV, then so be it. I will not let the government tell me I have to switch to digital.
When the enforced switch happens in 2009 what will become of all of the analog televisions? Will they still be operational, or will we all have to go and buy ridiculously expensive digital TV‘s and throw away our analog sets. (I just bought my analog TV a year and a half ago for a grand, I will NOT be a happy camper if it becomes a paperweight in 2009).
